I've been painting for 25 years. I studied art in Houston at the Collins School and the Glassell School of the Museum of Fine Arts. Several years ago I moved from Houston to a house in the woods outside a tiny village in Vermont. In the summer I paint landscapes and in the winter I do still lifes. I have had a number of solo shows and have participated in many group shows. I'm a member of Strafford Artworks--a local group of painters. I am represented by The Gilded Edge in Hanover, NH.
I paint highly representational oil paintings--landscapes and still lifes. In my opinion a highly legitimate purpose of art is to observe and to make others aware of the wonders and beauties of the world. I also enjoy whimsy. (Where is it written that art can't be fun!?)
