Aaron Smith Woodworking is a custom furniture studio based in San Diego, CA. We specialize in designing and building solid, hardwood furniture using reclaimed, recycled or sustainably harvested domestic and exotic woods. With a background in custom metal fabrication and cabinetry, along with a degree in Landscape Architecture, both creative design and nature are familiar friends to Aaron.

My Artist Statement

Aaron Smith Woodworking creates one-of-a-kind pieces of functional art that emphasize a balance between organic and elegant. From our small studio, each piece of furniture is hand built by employing traditional woodworking techniques and uncompromising attention to fine craftsmanship. Although each project is unique, the same design protocol always applies: Create distinctive furniture that exudes imagination, curiosity, common sense and a deep respect for the material.
