Daniel Wend grew up in the Great Lake State and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University in 1979. Along with pursuing his art, he has worked as a marketing professional in the Seattle area since 1982. Dan has exhibited his work in the Pacific Northwest, New York, and Los Angeles, and has pieces in private, public, and corporate art collections in the US, South America, and Europe. Dan recently created a large mixed media mural at Google offices near Seattle.
I have long been a painter, photographer, illustrator, and mixed media artist, but I particularly enjoy the process of mixing media, without the constraints imposed by using one type of tool, material or pigment. The exploratory process of approaching art from different directions keeps it fresh and spontaneous, and opens up new possibilities and artistic directions.
During these explorations, I began to experiment with new and different ways to frame and present my art and photography, which led me to create the folding art screens and image lights that I currently have available on the ArtsyHome website. I launched ImageScreens.com with the idea of marketing my art to a wider range of people and businesses. I now sell my products to interior designers, furnishings businesses, facilities management professionals, event planners, and architects, as well as to art galleries and online stores.
