My Artist Statement

I like wood. I consider myself someone who frees the natural beauty of wood to be displayed, used, and enjoyed. I carefully select the trees to be harvested; most are fallen or damaged trees, and never are they taken without a prayer of thanks to Mother Nature. I personally bring them to my Amish friend’s mill for custom sawing and then they are dried in my lumber yard and kiln for up to two years before being carefully selected for a project that will highlight the beauty of the wood within. I like wood.
