Born in New Jersey, raised in the suburbs of Detroit, I attended Oliver College and the University of Michigan, before gravitating toward a career as an artisan. I am primarily self-taught but find inspiration in the works of the Shakers, Greene and Green, George Nakashima, the Stickleys, and Swiss country furniture.
I am a cabinet and furniture maker with a shop located in northern Oakland County, outside of Detroit, Michigan. My work is a combination of commissioned projects such as kitchens, libraries, and furniture built to specificatio0ns, as well as furniture of my own design.
I have won three Detroit Home Magazine Design Awards for both cabinetry and furniture making.
For thirty years I have honed my craft, while developing the elemnts of my personal style. My approach is fueled by being continually delighted with wood as an organic artifact. My job is to preserve, enhance, and present the spirit of the tree in the form of a utilitarian heirloom.
