Sculptor/furniture maker Roger Heitzman, has been designing and crafting custom and limited edition furnishings for over 35 years. His versatility in working a variety of materials such as metal, wood and glass has enabled him to create a wide range of innovative designs that have been displayed in numerous art publications and been the recipient of national awards. His pieces offer unique visual expressions that enhance and transcend their function. He has taught furniture design at the college and professional level, and as a Master Craftsman through the Baulines Crafts Guild. He is a finalist for the 2012 NICHE award. My Artist Statement
At Heitzman Studios we craft the kinetic wind sculptures "StrataSphere" and "Helix", and also design and craft custom sculptures. Our studio, located in Santa Cruz County in the South San Francisco Bay Area, focuses on hand made high quality sculpture. We work on a personal level with clients and offer them a variety of services such as design, rendering, and computer CAD capabilities to better serve their individual needs. |
