My work is concerned with interpreting the contemporary world of nature and my environment. My subjects involve luminosity and light as well as nature or natural objects.I am visually concerned with design, color harmony, and emotional impact. I like to use a palette knife on some parts of a landscape painting and I sometimes use my photos or sketches as reference as well as paint things from life. I like to paint "plein air", or outdoors, but often go back to the studio with my study and repaint the same scene. These paintings are mostly painted "alla prima", which means all at once.
