This was a painting I did a couple of years ago. I was trying to do an abstract so I magnified the bloom of a blue iris. With the flow of the lines and texture of the petals, it seemed "flat" and uninteresting. I recently pulled out it to give it a "pop" look. I added phyalo blue and brightened the shades of blue and pink to give it more depth and visual appeal.
