Doom

Notice the pledge is primarily to one man and not their constitution. "I vow to Adolf Hitler imperturbable loyalty. I vow to him and to the leaders, that he sets for me, absolute allegiance. Adolf Hitler: Hail victory!" Without a teleprompter using loud gesticulating oratory he alone was able to mesmerize thousands of Germans at once as you're now hearing. He was an excellent emotion rousing speaker. He was Adolf Hitler. In 1933 Hitler was appointed chancellor. His power was further solidified in 1934 upon the death of then President Paul von Hindenberg. Hitler then declared himself "Fuhrer". He demanded the Germans utter allegiance to himself. They did. Hitler's Stormtroopers attacked Jews and anyone who opposed Hitler. This allegiance also led to the killing of about 6 million Jews. Hitler's thousand year Reich lasted 12 years also resulting in the deaths of between 6 to 8 million Germans. For all the deaths he caused the song is appropriate and is Chopins Funeral March by John Cacavas. The lesson: "He who forgets history is doomed to repeat it." George Santayana
