Dry Time Canvas Giclee Print Cormorant By Carol Thompson Dry Time Canvas Giclee Print Cormorant By Carol Thompson
$ 177.00 In stock
Product description: "After feeding, a cormorant spreads its wings for a morning's 'dry time'." Artist comment: "A cormorant, with out-stretched wings, is one of my favorite subjects to paint. Here at the edge of the sea, one stands in the sun, watchfully waiting for it's wings to dry. I captured it with my camera, then in my studio later, I referenced that image to draw and paint this interesting bird. I chose pastel and Canson Mi-Teintes paper for the painting. I like the way the intense 'blackness' of the bird stands out against the rippling water. I completed water, rocks, and piling. Then eagerly began the cormorant. His beak and eye were the 'icing on the cake!" "Dry Time" is a limited edition, giclee print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Image size is 10" X 14". This substrate is Epson giclee canvas, using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt(TM) print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints. This stretched canvas print is gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed. The print is signed and numbered by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is wired for hanging. These miniature canvas prints are perfect for display in small areas or in groupings with like subjects (lighthouses, old cars, seascapes, seagulls, etc.) or on small easels on your desk, on a bookshelf, coffee table, small decorative table, or any nook or cranny. Please Note: This print is available in other sizes and substrates (paper and canvas). This image is also available as a note card, an ACEO, and a magnet.
