This southwest inspired piece is based on a photograph of one of the many canyons and rock formations one finds in Utah. In it I have tried to capture the shadows that occur when light finds its way around corners and through cracks.

This piece is fused and machine appliquéd. It is quilted with various rayon and metallic thread. The fibers include commercially produced cotton, silk and sheer fabrics.

This piece is ready to hang using a slat or rod. It should be hung away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
