Helix Wind Sculpture on small base

Helix, an outdoor garden kinetic sculpture, is built to move with the wind. It has two independent revolving spiral arms that use copper "leaves" to capture even gentle breezes. The arms move in opposite directions. Its movement is reminiscent of undulating seaweed as it takes on a very graceful motion in the wind. All joints are silver-brazed by hand for extraordinary strength. Helix is made of brass, copper and stainless steel, all materials that will not rust. Precision miniature stainless steel ball bearings are used at all pivot points for friction-free movement.
