Mosaic Sun, Bohemian Wall Art, Flowering Sun, Yellow, Orange, Royal Blue

This hippie-inspired piece is a favorite of mine. It makes me smile!

When I decided to create this piece, I knew I would use colors and design reminiscent of my teenage days from the late 1960's early 1970's. It is similar to the bright colors used in Sanskrit art.

When meditating, this works well as a mandala. Studying it while doing your favorite meditation practice can give you clarity and a feeling of peace.

I outlined my design around the center piece of circular mirror using recycled silver mirror pieces that I hand cut. Stained glass in bright sunshine yellow, tangerine orange and royal blue were cut into triangles and used in the flowering sun Bohemian design.

Grouted in white with a light tangerine water wash applied to the center.

The sides and back are painted in a bright yellow. It's signed, dated and sealed for protection. There's a sturdy D-ring attached to the back.

This groovy mosaic measures 12×12 inches at it's widest points.
