Pink House of Burano was created in May of 2011. Burano is a pedestrian-only island off the coast of Venice famous for its fine Italian lace. It is also known for having some of the most colorful homes in Europe. This image is of a home owned by a woman named Maria. Maria is a widow who has lived on Murano her entire life. She is pictured in the adjacent image mopping the street where she lives, an activity, she confided, that keeps her a young woman. Full of vigor and possessing an eternal smile, I think Maria has something here. Limited edition of 50.
