The Kalachev bridge is in Koprivshtitsa, Bulgaria. It was the site of the first shot of the April 1876 uprising of the people against the 500 year rule of the Ottoman Turks. The town itself is a delightful museum village. The painting is 24 inches high by 35 inches wide, acrylic on stretched canvas, on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides; a frame is not necessary. The painting is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance which increases the value of the work. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork.
