Lynne Reichhart graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a BA in Computer Science. After 20 years of corporate life, she turned to her passion for art and let her creative side emerge. She found a wonderful local school affiliated with Pratt School of Art in New York City and began taking art classes.
Lynne has always lived in Upstate New York (think above Syracuse) in a rural setting. Much of her inspiration comes from the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. She has also been lucky enough to travel to Europe with camera in hand for more inspirational subjects!
She continues to show her work regionally including exhibitions at The Munson-Williams-Proctor Museum of Art and The Frederic Remington Art Museum. She has been honored with many awards for her work including 'Best of Show'.
She has also had her work published in several books including Art on a Plate The ACEO cookbook and Create, Collect, Trade, a Collection of Artist Trading Cards Created by Artists and Students. The latter is used as a school teaching tool for the young artists of tomorrow.
Lynne had the privilege to have her work gifted to celebrities at several Hollywood award show gift lounges including the Oscars, Emmys and Golden Globes.
Reichhart has work represented in private collections worldwide that include several commissions. She works from her home studio in Westernville where she resides with her husband.
Art should be evolving and an artist should strive to improve and grow in their craft. I look to nature as my inspiration to reveal the atmosphere, the play of light and shadow, in my work. Ultimately, creativity is an internal process begging to become external. This transformation reveals a piece of me in every work I create.
