About Christopher Garman
I come from a long line of craftspeople including the settlers of the original Jamestown colony. My grandfather was a tree surgeon and expert wood carver who acquired castoff logs and turned them into works of art. My father is a self-taught fine furniture designer who routinely takes on commissions for custom pieces and refinishing of antiques. Then there's me.
Since I was 12, I dabbled in woodcarving and small projects until, at the age of 23, I built my first table. From that point on, I have constantly challenged myself to create new techniques that build upon my skill set. If it's simple, it's boring, and I won't do it.
