Linda likes to refer to herself as "self-taught" and paints primarily in oils and acrylic. Having grown up in an artistic family, she learned very early on that she had a love and talent for art. Always drawing as a child, she advanced to painting as a young adult, but with the responsibilities of a growing family, put art aside until just a few short years ago. However, since that time Linda has been growing leaps and bounds as an artist. Experimenting with different techniques and mediums is what keeps the process of painting fresh with her. Still life and landscapes are what this artist enjoys painting most. Light, color and composition are all vital elements that are integral to her work. Linda has many collectors throughout Canada and the U.S.
Painting is what makes me happy. I am so fortunate to live in a place that has so much natural beauty. Just looking out my window makes me want to sit down in my studio and express some of the joy and beauty that I feel and see. My hope is that my paintings will capture just a little of this beauty and will bring a bit of the happiness that I feel while I am painting to the viewer or collector. Every day that I can create art is a happy day for me!
