I am a California native and grew up in the San Gabriel valley. I support my family with my general contracting cabinetmaking business. My woodworking experience comes from on the job training, observing and working with other craftsmen. My first shop was in my garage, second was the cabinet shop of a long time construction company. Third shop I built. I have always made furniture for my family and clients. I have 30 years experience. My sons experience comes from his desire to have a lowboy dresser. He designed and built it.
This is a father and son business. All our work is of our own design to fit the clients needs and desires. We create each piece with the goal of delivering something beyond the expectations of our clients. We start out with just dimensions and a general design and then allow the process and design to evolve as we complete each step. Some of our best ideas have come in the middle of a project. I like furniture that is simple and complex, which is why I am a fan of Sam Maloof and Charles and Henry Greene. Their furniture is all very simple, functional, and at the same time complex with the use of contrasting woods and joinery. My son and I make furniture to be used and that will last for generations. Our goal is to have our work passed down thru our clients grandchildren.
