Ms Drake has been an Assistant Professor of Industrial Design at Purdue University since 2007. Her specialty is furniture design which has been recently exhibited at MIT in the Furniture Society's outdoor furniture exhibit, the Design Quest furniture competition exhibit in Grand Rapids, MI where she won the grand prize for her "Pierced Chair" design, the the Yodex Exhibit in Taipei, Taiwan, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, The Neocon World Trades Fair at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, The Beca Gallery in New Orleans, LA, The Fine Furnishings Show in Milwaukee, WI as well as throughout the Chicago area in exhibits affiliated with the Chicago Furniture Designers Association. She has a MA in Industrial Design from Purdue University as well as an MFA from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Prior to her current professional efforts Ms Drake was represented by the gallery “Art et Industrie” in New York City for 15 years. Her works for Art et Industrie were extensively exhibited nationally and internationally and are included in many private collections.
