I was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After moving from Kentucky at an early age, I lived in Central California where I attended school. After college graduation, I worked at Hawke Art Glass Studio in Sacramento, California, as a free-lance artist. There I was taken “under the wing” of a very special and world-renowned cameo glass artist, Marialyce Hawke, while working at Hawke Art Glass Studio. At this prominent studio I was introduced to the delicate art of carving glass. I was very intrigued and fell in love with the concept of carving my own ideas and artwork into glass.
In 1992 Mac moved his family to the Midwest where he resides with his wife and six children. He now has his own studio where he hopes to capture the interest of people who love glass art as much as he does. All his designs are drawn freehand (no stencils) which makes each and every piece an original—one of a kind. Each piece is signed by the artist. Mac’s artwork has universal appeal to those looking to add something unique and special to their surroundings.
Don't do art for the sake of doing art. Do art to give people happiness for their soul.
