I paint concepts.
It’s not just a pedestrian waiting for the signal to change on his way to an “Afternoon Ballet” at Lincoln Center in NYC, he is part of the ballet happening on the sidewalk around him.
“Being in the Rain” presents more than one point of view about a chilly wet street corner.
“Big Money” is a large painting with extraordinary detail. It’s hard to look away from big money.
I have always considered myself a philosopher who paints. Relying heavily on the techniques of the Old Masters, I choose subjects that embody truths, often humorously - sometimes surrealistically. The joy for me is in creating beautiful paintings that spur thoughtful consideration. I love people, feel connected to the world and spend my days sharing my unique vision of it through paintings.
