Mindy was born and raised in New York City, while Paul comes from a small town in central Illinois. They met in film school in San Francisco in the late 1970's, which is where their professional training comes from, and what their first collaborative art medium was. As sculptors and painters, they are both self-taught.
Mindy Rodman and Paul White are husband and wife artists who have been collaborating for more than 30 years. Together they create vibrant, colorful, abstract metal sculptures as well as abstract expressionist acrylic paintings.
Inspired by their love of jazz music and modern dance, their work evokes a sense of rhythm and motion. In addition, each piece reflects their flair for the dramatic as well as their sense of humor.
