Artwork Description: "Where Forest Meets Field" is a contemporary interpretation of a Japanese tray garden — a reflection of the natural world in miniature. The work is made of tree bark & weathered pine board slivers separated by an S-curve of wood-fired ceramic. The tray is made of laminated black walnut.
As the title suggests, the work reflects the meeting of two elements. The Forest is the wild and natural side (the bark) and the Field is the controlled human side.
The workmanship of this piece, and the materials used, are of the highest quality. The overall size is 30" in diameter. For indoor use only.
