A Moment in May landscape painting with wild flowers by Gill Bustamante A Moment in May landscape painting with wild flowers by Gill Bustamante
$ 1220.00 In stock
Product description: A 30 x 30 x 1.5 inches pink and green oil painting of a Sussex inspired Spring landscape. Semi abstract, impressionist ,art nouveau in style, the painting shows a blue tit sitting on a stalk surrounded by white and cream cow parsley flowers with pink blossom hinted at behind and green grasses in the foreground. It was painted after a walk I took around Bodiam Castle area in May 2018. May is a wonderful month when all of nature goes barmy and that fleeting moment of wildflowers and bird activity is what I tried to capture in this painting. The paint is thick and has some plant dander in it which flew in the window as I was painting it. I was OK with this as it adds to the captured moment of the lovely season of May in England. The edges are white and no frame is needed.
