Big Sky Dream a sea and sky original oil painting by Gill Bustamante Big Sky Dream a sea and sky original oil painting by Gill Bustamante
$ 1395.00 In stock
Product description: A 30 x 30 x 1.5 inches large original oil painting of the sea and sky. This painting is semi abstract, expressionist in style and was painted using a variety of brushes using thick rainbow colours. I tried to capture the motion of clouds over a calm ocean. A small figure can be seen standing on the shore looking at the sea. As we all know, the sea is a fabulous place to get some time and space and lots of big ideas form whilst walking along beaches. I did my art degree in Brighton and spent much of my time by the sea and never lost my fascination with the light, colours and motion of the sky over the ocean. I like this painting as the figure being very small gives the idea of a much larger space than the 30 x 30 inches it actually is. Edges are white - no frame needed

I then worked in a studio on the seafront for a while making sculptures with an architect for clubs and hotels. On moving to East Grinstead in the late 80's, I began painting for an art agent that specialised in...read more
