Czárdás -- Hungarian Rhapsody Series -- Hungarian Dancer by Somogyi Czárdás -- Hungarian Rhapsody Series -- Hungarian Dancer by Somogyi
$ 125.00 In stock
Product description: This is no. 3 in my series “Hungarian Rhapsody”—a whimsical nod to my Hungarian roots, expressed as musical works. The Czárdás is the folk dance of Hungary; its name comes from the word for tavern. I can remember doing this dance at family weddings when I was a kid. The Hungarian folk costume has a skirt that is HUGE, with lots of petticoats--and my girl here is showing off hers (& this comes from an actual photo of this pose). 9" x 12", Acrylics, fabric, ruffle trim, lace, rhinestone trim & paper collage on canvas.
