Product description: Inspired by jigsaw puzzles, my Dichroic Jigsaw wall art piece is the perfect one-of-a-kind conversation piece. Mounted on a sturdy brushed stainless steel plate with welded on wall hanger on the back, this fused glass statement piece will brighten up any room. The warm spectrum colors of red and gold will morph, as dichroic glass does, into shades of green when viewed from a 90 degree angle. You can look at this design for hours, constantly finding new patterns in the glass and in the jigsaw itself. Starting with the outside border, I pick from my dichroic glass pieces and fit them as one would a jigsaw puzzle. Once the puzzle is complete, I kiln fire it to black base glass, using a tack fuse to retain the depth and texture of the the dichroic glass. The completed panel is then siliconed on to the stainless steel wall plate, providing the perfect modern frame for the piece.

I am unable to explain why, on a whim, I signed up for a lampworking class. Melting that glass over a torch to create a bead was pure magic. But I became frustrated when I didn’t seem to have the ability to make the bead look like I wanted. So I...read more
