Product description: This is the 32nd in a new series of acrylic works on canvas. I began painting many years ago with acrylics and work with acrylics when doing outdoor public works, but this is the first time I have revisited acrylic painting on canvas in many years. It has always been my interest in expanding on the tools that I have as an artist and constantly evolving as a painter. This piece is a completely unique and original abstract acrylic painting on canvas. It is an exercise in fluid painting. This piece is bursting with energy and movement, but also has a bright, cheerful and calming effect. It is an exercise in modern liquid paint immersion. The colors swirl and dance with each other as minor cracks emerge, giving subtle depth and texture. There is a strong contrast between bold, defined color forms and the subtle fading and mixing of color in other parts of the painting. This piece is even more vibrant in person and it is unique to this series in that the paint layering is thick with subtle texture and crevasses that add depth to the piece. It is the 32nd in my new series of abstract acrylic works. Note: This painting is painted on canvas and does not come framed, however the painting continues on the edges of the canvas and therefore framing is not necessary. It is hang ready. Painting in pictures might not be perfectly to scale. This painting is signed on the front and includes my Certificate of Authenticity. © 2017 PMS Artwork. All rights reserved.

Artist Preston M. Smith (PMS) found himself cross-eyed and with no depth perception as a child. This was the "lens" through which he developed his unique visual perspective of the world, which he now shares as a painter. Graduating from Gonzaga University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art/Theater Arts, Preston then moved to Los Angeles where he has since worked for over a decade as a fine artist. Preston’s work can best be categorized as having a mixture of both abstract and figurative styles, many times within the same...read more
