Artwork Description: This painting has been one of those that call me back a few times to work on some more. The journey of further hanging out with the colors took me on a journey back to me in my twenties, a young thing studying with a master artist at the Art Students League in New York. To a time when I worked on another square canvas that my teacher chose to represent his atelier in the ASL Catalog. That was my first official validation as an artist and I felt very much at home. It's really lovely to be practicing my craft still, being authentically me in those colors.
This has lovely luminous color painted on gallery-wrapped cotton canvas stretched over a heavy-duty wooden frame. The painting continues around the sides. An unobtrusive, uv-filtering varnish is added as the final layer.
