Flying Flying
$ 3350.00 In stock
Product description: Mixed media painting on wood, recessed in beautiful handmade wood frame. 2 x 4 feet. Heavy duty hanging wire on back. "Flying" is part of a series of images that are derived from both dreams and life, and the way these experiences are sewn together, with odd bits of memories mixed and strewn throughout. It is an ethereal portrait of sorts. The boy-as-bird hangs suspended in air as the inevitability of change encroaches; there is both danger and peace as both dream and memory float together in the same weightless moment. The possibility of flight all of a sudden feels real and profound, and stands as a metaphor for hope. This item may require custom shipping and crating.
