Product description: This is the 90th in a new series of acrylic works on canvas. I began painting many years ago with acrylics and work with acrylics when doing outdoor public works, but this is the first time I have revisited acrylic painting on canvas in many years. It has always been my interest in expanding on the tools that I have as an artist and constantly evolving as a painter. This piece is a completely unique and original abstract acrylic painting on canvas. It is an exercise in fluid painting. This piece is stunning in its soft, fluid movement. This painting is beautiful in its simplicity of color and the emergence of forms that dance and swirl across the canvas. The cool blues in this painting are pervasive and weave in and out of the white, uniting the piece. Minor cracks and surface texture emerge to add subtle and visible depth to the piece. In fact, there is a bone-like structure that runs diagonal on the canvas that adds to the "fossilized" nature and theme of this painting. This is the perfect accent piece for the right space and is intriguing to look at from any angle. It is the 90th in my new series of abstract acrylic works. Note: This painting is painted on canvas and does not come framed, however the painting continues on the edges of the canvas and therefore framing is not necessary. It is hang ready. Painting in pictures might not be perfectly to scale. This painting is signed on the back and includes my Certificate of Authenticity. © 2017 PMS Artwork. All rights reserved.

Artist Preston M. Smith (PMS) found himself cross-eyed and with no depth perception as a child. This was the "lens" through which he developed his unique visual perspective of the world, which he now shares as a painter. Graduating from Gonzaga University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art/Theater Arts, Preston then moved to Los Angeles where he has since worked for over a decade as a fine artist. Preston’s work can best be categorized as having a mixture of both abstract and figurative styles, many times within the same...read more
