Product description:Freedom is a 30 x 24 x 0.5 inches oil painting on canvas showing a lone seagull gliding over a calm blue sparkling sea. The ocean is tranquil and the gull is in no hurry. Behind her, the sea glows white towards the horizon which is lost in a white haze. Light sparkles show on the peaks of the turquoise blue waves. I painted this because I wanted something calming and serene and find it represents freedom for me. I also painted it during the hot summer days of July and really wanted to be on holiday so it became a substitute :-) It had to be a lone gull because I am a fan of Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach. The painting is ready to hang, white edges, frame recommended but not essential. Video: https://youtu.be/lzFwKa4NsCM

I then worked in a studio on the seafront for a while making sculptures with an architect for clubs and hotels. ‚Äč On moving to East Grinstead in the late 80's, I began painting for an art agent that specialised in...read more
