$ 1500.00 In stock
Product description: 40 x 40 x 1.5 inches large original semi abstract green oil painting of a very green Spring wood in Sussex. This painting was made in response to the gorgeous green explosion that occurs in April in England during the Spring. Birds, animals, plants and nature go berserk in their enthusiasm to survive and reproduce. Green forests and woodland reflects this. It is an ancient pagan joy. A green stag stands guard under the trees, proud of his green domain. The painting is semi abstract, art nouveau in style and while predominately in shades of green, also has pinks and lilacs and other pastel colours beneath the green painted glaze that was wiped back to reveal the trees and branches and a path through the forest. Something worth looking for is on the other side of this forest...Painted on deep edge canvas - edges white, no frame needed.
