Passion flowers are a wild medicinal plant, known to help calm nerves and help people sleep. I’ve been exploring the importance of pollinators in the garden in my work. This bee is surrounded by a turquoise colorfield and the deep green leaves of the Passion flower plant. You are purchasing the original acrylic painting on wood panel. Lauren deSerres has been making art for over 15 years and has been teaching art classes for nearly 10 years. DeSerres is originally from Chapel Hill and made Pittsboro her home in 2015. She is a mixed media artist, working in painting, clay and sculpture. She co-owns Proud Chicken Studio with her partner, Walt. DeSerres holds an MFA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a BFA from East Carolina University with a focus in sculpture. read more
