Product description:Bronze sculptures are almost resolutely solid. They are usually hollow, but to the viewer they present a monolithic, generally rounded shape that may have a visible hole or two - say, between the cowboy’s arm and body as he reaches for his gun, or the general’s arm and the trusty horse that he is patting - but is essentially massive. This piece is an experiment in holes. The effect is about as different from traditional bronze sculpture as I could imagine, and a far cry from “modern” bronze pieces - those swooping, sweeping abstractions. Perhaps it’s fair to call this style “postmodern.”
