This painting is one of a new series of exciting works that epitomize certain techniques and an aesthetic I have been working to perfect over the years. The colors are vibrant and alive and the texture is highly tactile and almost edible. This piece is an exercise in extremes; order in chaos. The colors streak, mix and overlap on the surface and hover over a beautiful, almost cosmic background of sublime tracers of streaming color. Heavy texture exists on the edges of the piece as well as bumps or waves of texture on the surface to give added depth. There are layers upon layers of thick paint on this piece, as well as defined lines that give it a dynamic appearance. It is a wonderfully colorful mess of colors, vibrancy and texture. It is truly an original oil painting and series like no other. Note: This painting is painted on reclaimed wood and comes hang ready with the edges painted black.
