Product description:This painting of the vintage World War II fighter plane, the P-40 Warhawk, which was the backbone of the all volunteer U.S. Army Air Force squadron developed by General Claire Chenault, the FLYING TIGERS, to support China in the war against the Japanese. They were a fearsome and effective force and after the war became a regular part of the U.S. Army Air Force. This painting depicts one of those Flying Tigers during a Japanese air kill.
