Product description:The sculpture is made of painted wood and metal. It has one sculpted glyph and one iron object painted with many of the artist's glyphs and additional airbrushed color. The painting technique is primarily airbrushed gradation with the addition of tiny brushstrokes in the thick central triangle. The roughness and articulation-by-symbol on the iron portion contrast with the formal clarity of the other components. Signed on bottom.
The artist uses a variety of found objects in his sculptures: wind-polished aspen, milled-wood fragments, metal fragments, mining debris, high-altitude plane-crash fragments, stove parts, recycled crate wood, and more.
