Hand-punched Copper Wall Sconce Hand-punched Copper Wall Sconce

Product description: This wall sconce is an accurate rendition of the Union County Court House in Blairsville, Ga. I was asked to replicate this historic building for a charity auction benefiting The Glenda Gooch House. The house is a non-profit that provides a residence for the families of those undergoing treatment at the neighboring hospital. The lamp was sold at the auction to a County Commissioner who fell in love with it as soon as he saw it. He then placed it in the courthouse directly below a picture of the courthouse. There it hangs illuminating the picture above it in a golden glow. While this lamp has been sold it is available for recreation. It also serves the purpose of showing you what is available from Copper Sunsets. I have made numerous lamps with varying degrees of difficulty. I specialize in custom work, and have not had an image I could not replicate. All lamps utilize C.F.L. light bulbs. This allows you to leave the lamp turned on with out worry of heat build up damaging either your walls, tabletops or mantels. Each lamp is hand polished and clear coated. This prevents the copper from tarnishing or developing a patina with age. This lamp is roughly 12 inches by 12 inches in size. Alternate sizes are available by request. Each lamp is entirely handmade, no machinery is used in the fabrication process. As each lamp is handmade please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of your lamp. If you have a specific image in mind please do not hesitate to contact me for a quote. Thank you , Sam Warren

My mother and grandparents instilled in me a love of the arts and the knowledge that anything is possible if you work hard at it. Through my wife & daughter, I have learned that love and patience is needed in all things. When I began working with copper, all the...read more
