Product description:"A popular scene on the Oregon Coast is Moolack Beach, located north of Newport. With the lighthouse at Yaquina Head in the distance and a lazy fall morning surf below, a group of colorful worm banners, spin socks, and parafoils catch the eye and imagination of travellers." Artist comment: "Kite flying is popular on the beaches of the Pacific Northwest, where westerly winds are consistantly sweeping over sandy beaches. It, therefore, is a perfect setting for kite flying enthusiasts to send aloft a colorful display of fluttering fabric. Here, in oil on canvas, I recreated the scene near Newport, Oregon. I sketched the headland and lighthouse and lightly indicated where the kites would be. I painted sky, sea, and land. When the background was dry, I did the kites and 'socks'. Lastly, I drew in a line connecting them to the beach." "Moolack Beach" is a limited edition, giclee print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Image size is 5" X 10". This substrate is Epson Premier Canvas Satin water resistant giclee canvas, using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt(TM) print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints. This stretched canvas print is gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed. The print is signed and numbered by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is wired for hanging. These miniature canvas prints are perfect for display in small areas or in groupings with like subjects (lighthouses, old cars, seascapes, seagulls, etc.) or on small easels on your desk, on a bookshelf, coffee table, small decorative table, or any nook or cranny.
