Product description:Mixed inks and 23 carat gold. This is both a self-portrait and an adaptation of Da Vinci's Salvator Mundi. As an elaborate calligram, it is composed almost completely out of written words, each constituent part of the image takes its texture from the respective word, the literal name, that belongs to it. The cloth over the body is in this respect only made of iterations of the word "cloth". Only English dictionary words have been used, but in this way the image is interpreted and the relationship that the viewer has with the images is broken down and deconstructed.
