Product description:"On a grey breezy day at the ocean, a black and white bol (bowl) kite, of a very 'scary spider' in its web, billows and rolls on the soft sand." Artist comment: "This painting with pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes paper was a study in black and white with grey tones. The kite is about 9 feet in diameter and made of ripstop nylon; making it light weight and strong. As the early morning fog lingered over the ocean, I researched this interesting 'kite'. It always fascinates me when I go to kite festivals and I see all the new creative designs. I sketched the composition, then began with the sky, sea, and sand. I used several top brands of soft pastels with pastel pencils for details. The spider was the last thing. Great fun!" "Scary Spider" is a limited edition, giclee print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson. Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Image size is 6" X 8". This substrate is giclee canvas, using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt(TM) print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints. This stretched canvas print is gallery wrapped (the image is extended or mirrored to wrap around the sides of wooden stretcher bars and stapled to the back) so the print can be displayed framed or unframed. The print is signed and numbered by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is wired for hanging. These miniature canvas prints are perfect for display in small areas or in groupings with like subjects (lighthouses, old cars, seascapes, seagulls, etc.) or on small easels on your desk, on a bookshelf, coffee table, small decorative table, or any nook or cranny. Please Note: This print is available in other sizes and substrates (paper and canvas). This image is also available as a note card, an ACEO, and a magnet.
