Product description: I pictured this painting with two elements an image from the renaissance period of someone on horseback done is sepia tones on one side and then a more modern and more colorful image on the other. In researching I came across The Vision of St. Eustace painted in 1435 by Pisanello. According to legend Eustace was a Roman knight who went hunting and found a stag with a crucifix in its antlers. I liked the figure of the man , the horse, his dogs and the rabbit, so I painted that part. The rest of the painting is inset with the figure of a Parisian mime (Pierrot) who is playing the photographer holding a camera on a tripod. The geese fit perfectly into the empty space and carry the colors from Eustace.
